Seth Diego Birchall




Seth Diego Birchall is an artist based in Sydney Australia and Bali Indonesia. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School Sydney and a Masters of Arts from UNSW Art & Design.

Primarily a painter, he is concerned with the medium's history, its versatility and its narrative and romantic possibilities. Recent exhibitions include: Assorted Woods at Artereal Gallery Sydney (2019); Eve's Broken Arm, Tristian Koenig Gallery Melbourne (2019); a solo presentation with Tristian Koenig at CODE Art Fair Copenhagen, Denmark (2018); Where Are My Feelings? Tristian Keonig (2018) a Sydney pop up and The Bloviate Suite, with Chalk Horse Gallery Sydney (2016), as a part of his Art Incubator grant. Recent group shows include the Len Fox Painting Award, the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize, the Geelong Contemporary Art Prize, and the Glover Art Prize in Tasmania. He is represented in public and private  collections including, the St. Vincent's Hospital Collection, the Macquarie Bank Collection, the Proclaim Collection and the Joyce Nissan Collection. He is currently undertaking a one year studio residency at Artspace.
