	TOM FERSONFerson’s practice spans portraiture, plein air painting and text-based works. He draws on the visual language of signage to explore how meaning is created, conveyed and understood in art, as well as the psychological stakes involved in both making and experiencing it. Ferson's practice moves fluidly between intimate figuration and bold material experimentation. Drawing on everyday encounters, from music and film, to Australian landscapes, his paintings are both emotionally attuned and sharply observational, grounded in a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to making.


Faulty CognitionsFerson’s exhibition Faulty Cognitions co-opts the urgent, authoritative language of commercial signage and the semi-industrial fringe. It brings together a series of 'psychological monuments' that reflect the tension betwen the desire for logical order and the messy, physical reality of searching for meaning.

	SHAN TURNER-CARROLL
Shan Turner-Carroll (b. 1987) is an Australian artist of Burmese descent. Deeply fascinated with unearthing tacit knowledge, his practice integrates mediums including photography, sculpture, performance and film. The artist’s practice interrogates both human and non-human nature, alternative forms of social exchange and interactions between art, artist and viewer: sending and receiving signals. His work can sing to snakes, serenade and signal with aliens, and barter with islands, rivers, and oceans. Looking towards the multiplicity of connections between body and landscape, site-specificity is key to his practice, not only in making, but rather in how an embodied methodology of making emerges upon each site and location. Turner-Carroll sees art-making as ritualistic and transformative, using play, humor and experimentation as key elements within his current practice.


Edge of the Garden“These night visions emerge as apparitions found at the Edge Of The Garden, between dusk and dawn, as though of an alternate dream world. During the period of Covid isolation, I spent several months making wearable sculptures and photographing members of my family on the property I grew up on. More than simply adornment or even protection, each sculpture is an apparatus, designed to interact with the body. 
The wearables were produced from materials found on the property, including objects from my past such as old sportswear, dance costumes, curtains, carpets, knives and flowers. The process of inventing, wearing and performing for the camera reveals a central part of my childhood growing up in rural NSW, where boredom was a constant threat and entertainment found its outlets in Easter hat parades, dance eisteddfods, nativity scenes and home-made music videos.”

	JOSHUA CHARADIAJoshua Charadia is a visual artist living and working in Sydney. In his work, Charadia casts an aesthetic and critical eye on the complex forms of Australia’s industrial landscape. He explores the nature of perception and awareness by closely examining these ubiquitous yet overlooked scenes. Working from photographs, he employs the slow mediums of oil paint and charcoal to afford time to these images, usually seen in passing or from a distance.


Nocturnes
Charadia’s exhibition Nocturnes explores the nature of consciousness and perception through depictions of the industrial landscape at night. Working from photographs, Joshua builds up layers of oil paint to capture the peculiar beauty of these scenes which rarely earn our attention. As night falls, constellations of lights scatter across coastal ports and the dense infrastructure of container yards is transformed. Joshua expands on the tradition of the nocturne; a visual, musical and literary form charged with centuries of creative contemplation.

	ORSON HEIDRICHOrson Heidrich is a mixed media artist living and working out of Sydney / Eora. Heidrich’s work sits within the field of expanded photography and installation. His practice spans multiple platforms and media; from contemporary photography and moving image to industrial sculpture and technical installation. Each of these facets draws from his ongoing research into the matrix and support structures of imaging practice, both social and spatial.


Mechanical Advantage
Orson’s exhibition&#38;nbsp;Mechanical Advantag sees a body of sculptural and wall based work exploring the relationship between artist and industry. Using large scale technical manufacturing processes to manipulate heavy-duty materials, Orson's practice embraces collaboration within wider industrial networks, whilst touching on ideas of value and reproduction. Process photographs taken inside fabrication houses over a number of years have been digitally manipulated into three-dimensional models and transformed into sand cast aluminium sculptures, CNC machine-cut aluminium wall plates, and embossed and debossed pressed tin.

	MEGAN HALESMegan Hales&#38;nbsp;is a Sydney based&#38;nbsp;artist who has gained recognition for large-scale public&#38;nbsp;artworks and murals, and&#38;nbsp;has refined her skills over ten years as a&#38;nbsp;painter, muralist&#38;nbsp;and fabricator. Inspired by the chaos of the everyday, Megan draws on iconography to pry open the cracks of late-capitalism, finding solace in the absurdity of modern life. Using a hyper-realist approach and hints of carnivalesque, she throws into focus the cognitive dissonance inherent to urban aspirations. 


Space Invaders
Hales’ exhibition&#38;nbsp;Space Invaders sees a suite of eight paintings exploring shared living arrangements between people, their environments and the natural world. Executed in an incredibly detailed and hyper-realistic style, her cinematic paintings hone in on moments where nature intrudes on familiar urban scenarios, exposing the ever tightening nexus between natural and human environments.

	MONICA RANI RUDHARMonica Rani Rudhar is an artist working on Gadigal Land across video, performance and sculpture. Born to Indian and Romanian migrant parents, her work speaks to longing and loss as she navigates the cultural disconnection that stems from the complexities of her multi-racial ethnicity. Her work is delicately personal and attempts to restore familial histories, traditions and rituals dispersed by migration. 


Close Your Eyes and Hold Out Your Hand
 Rudhar’s series of ambitious sculptural works act as monuments to familial history and feelings of cultural disconnection. Born to Indian and Romanian migrant parents, Rudhar's delicately personal practice speaks to a sense of loss as she navigates the complexities of her multi-racial ethnicity and seeks to create her own restorative autobiographical archive.
Rudhar has rebuilt by hand what would have been her heirlooms, either lost, gifted or taken away over time. Among the large pieces of Indian jewellery, handmade in glazed terracotta and gold lustre, is a replica of the gold earrings that her father gave her mother, who grew up in Conservative Romania and did not reciprocate his views. Rudhar meticulously recreates these treasured items as large monuments that embody the gravity of their loss. Drawing on their power to bridge a connection to her Indian heritage, her totemic objects unite her with distant family and memorialise fragmented oral histories.

REMY FAINT
Remy Faint is an emerging artist based on Gadigal Land (Sydney), working across painting, sculpture, ceramics, and installation. His practice is driven by a desire to expand the languages of painterly abstraction through an examination of its global histories. Drawing on his Chinese heritage, Faint often references collection-based objects and materials to navigate cross-cultural and material frameworks. His work explores themes of exchange, visibility, and hybridised artistic production.


	The Tiger’s Mouth
Drawing from collection-based objects and materials specific to his Chinese heritage, Remy examines hybridity, flux and change through an artistic process rooted in cross-material and cultural references. Acknowledging the materiality of silk contextually, that moves between time, place and function, the works in Faint’s exhibition offer a renewed perspective on histories of representation and symbology across a hybridity of contemporary and cultural sources. Speculative forms ranging from animals, figures, architecture, foliage and personal archives are mediated with artistic processes that move between high-fired ceramic components, painterly fabric assemblages and silk-based works.

NICOLE ZHANGNicole Zhang's practice centres on genre painting and its potential to respond to the complexities of everyday life and document encounters between the mundane and the sacred. Her work references the pictorial vernacular of modern and contemporary figurative painting and acknowledges the duality of quotidian tasks as at once prosaic and spiritual.


Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
Zhang’s suite of paintings for her exhibition Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow consider the everyday as a site of formation; the devotional soil on which we are shaped. Within her crowded, yet intimate tableaux, tragicomic figures navigate the rhythms of daily life and quietude with care. Recurring patterns and shapes envelop and mirror one another, in a contemplation on both the prosaic and deeply significnat nature of the things we do each day.
